Saint Patrick Day also known as ‘Lá Fhéile Pádraig’ or ‘The Day of the Festival of Saint Patrick’, celebrates the Romano-British Christian Apostle of Ireland, known widely as Saint Patrick, who passed on March 17, 461 AD.  Saint Patrick passed over 1,556 years ago and much of his life remains a mystery.   Nevertheless, this day in history has evolved into a global celebration, particularly associated with the color green, that reflects the various shades of green seen on the rolling fields of the Irish countryside; quite a beautiful landscape.  

For many of us, March 17th is associated with corned beef with mashed potatoes and a a great dark beer, with a thick head of course. 🍺  Whatever the right way to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day is, this certainty is the tastiest.
