Narcissus, also known as daffadowndilly, but most commonly known as the Daffodil, is one of the first blooming flower of early March and April. A spring perennial and part of the Amaryllidaceae family, the daffodil is often associated with the spring equinox; celebrated annually in March when the Sun shines directly on the equator and night and day are nearly equal. Eqinox, meaning ‘equal night’ is derived from Latin.
With delicate petals in shades of yellow, Daffodils are certain to brighten anyones day, even in the darkest of nights.
