Orchards are the Best Place to take Photographs & Indulge

It’s apple season in Massachusetts and there are so many local orchards that allow pick your own! Although I am saddened it is no longer summer, I seriously couldn’t wait to fly up that rickety-ladder to pluck my very first apple of the season, fresh from the tree.  Of course, there is really no need to use a ladder when there are so many perfectly good apples on the lower branches, especially if your picking at Honey Pot Hill Orchards, in Stow, Massachusetts.  Every year they have a few different apple varieties to choose from.  This year they have Gravenstein, Sansa, Akane and Ginger Gold; they also have PYO pears mid-September.

I may of left with a large bag of apples that will probably last me a few weeks, but I am honestly all ready to return and pick more!   Perhaps I will make a few apple pies, and then I’ll have no choice, but to go back….
