Orange GloFish with Orange Eyes
Plecostomus aka. Pleco Suckermouth Catfish
Every semi-agressive fish shown here makes up an essential part of my 30+ gallon tank. We started out with a few more friends, even a frog at one point. As a few passed on here and there, a familiar group seemed to stick around and stay together, like a school made up of many kinds of fish.
I have a great crew of fish in my tank, I concider them an essential part of my life, they may be small, but they have large personalities. They are quite funny if you take the time to notice… It just takes a little time to stop, see and listen in more ways than just with your eyes and ears perhaps. It is quite amazing what you can be inspired by if you actually take the time to look around.
What a wonderful post! In my home we have 4 tanks (13 gl, 10 gl, 5 gl, and a 1 1/2 gl ‘hospital’ tank). I loved that you mention that even though fish are small, they have big personalities. You find some are sweet, some are shy, some kind of bug all the others because all they want to do is play, some end up being bossy or territorial, and some live way past their life expectancy and become real special to you. 🙂
