Have you ever tasted food so scrumptious and satisfying that every bite was bursting with multi-dimensional flavors, so much so, you devoured the entire meal and had dreams about it later on?

An unassuming elite in Northern Italian cuisine, Ristorante La Morra, located in Brookline, serves fresh and simple ingredients, using long-established traditions, in a high-quality environment. Every dish, right down to the perfectly fried and stuffed, arancini di riso, is prepared with lots of love.

The admiration that La Morra radiates carries over into, not one, but many of their business ventures. Their superb menu, finely curated wine selection and amazing signature cocktails, perfectly complete their charmingly cozy atmosphere. Staff are delightful, well-trained, attentive, and knowledgeable about every aspect of the seasonally changing menu.

La Morra is the place that everyone, especially locals, hopes says a hidden gem, tucked away in a surprising neighborhood. If my husband and I lived closer, we would be here all the time! We certainty have our favorite, go-to dishes, which include, for cicchetti and anitpasti, the polpette Tuscan meatballs with porcini and prosciutto, the fried arancini de riso stuffed with braised meat and cheese, and the barbabietole e carote arrostite con formaggio with roasted beets, carrots, whipped goat cheese, hazelnuts, and brazil nuts. In terms of primi, we deeply enjoy the rabbit and polenta lasagna al coniglio and the seasonal risotto dishes. At the end of our delectable and hearty feast, we always manage to delight in the fruity sorbet trio.

By this time, there is only one question that remains in both our heads, despite our overly satisfied bellies, when will we return?!

Reservations are highly recommend, but not required, as walk-ins are accepted. They also cater to those looking to enjoy meals on the go or in the comfort of their own home.

There is no finer Italian eatery in the Greater Boston area to gather and pay homage to the age-old traditions, quality ingredients, and simply delicious fare!

Until our next deliciously penned meal, stay hungry…
